Christine & Bobby | Deer Park Villa Wedding Photography
They first met at MIT, where Bobby was Christine’s Taekwondo instructor. For weeks he strategized on how he could make an introduction to hang out with her. He tried to make small talk about her being a vegetarian with some bungled jokes like “I could totally be vegetarian. Is meat a vegetable?” But when he decided to invite Christine over to play video games and hang out with his cat, he got lucky, because she, the self-proclaimed hugely nerdy animal lover, was totally on board. Soon Bobby would follow Christine across the country – three times – as she became a veterinary student in California and then a surgical fellow in Pennsylvania… and then, ten years in to their relationship, they moved back to California to start the next chapter of their lives together– in marriage.
Their wedding day was an absolutely beautiful one, surrounded by loved ones at Deerk Park Villa in Fairfax, California. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and everyone was beaming with warmth and happiness. I’m happy to share just a few of the highlights below.
Christine has long loved the color green, so it was fitting that the entire wedding was themed with multiple shades of green, and her engagement ring was a bright emerald as well.
We visited a nearby spot by Mt. Tam for their first look, and it was perfect, nestled by the lake and in the oak trees.

Rather than have a separate Chinese Tea Ceremony in the morning, they incorporated it into their main wedding ceremony.

Then the redwood grove became the reception space! I loved their custom cat-themed escort cards, with three different cat designs specifically illustrating each of their three cats.
All of the speeches were so wonderful, with toasts from both fathers and from the wedding party.
And then it was time to head indoors for the cake…
… and boba!
