Wine Country Day Trips
One of the great delights of living in the Bay Area is getting to take little day trips up to wine country, with so many beautiful spots to visit only an hour or two north of San Francisco. These days, after having joined Reeve winery as members and also having more photo sessions again, we’ve been lucky enough to make pretty regular jaunts up to Sonoma and Napa counties. Here are a couple different brief trips up to wine country from the last couple months!
First, brunch at Valley in Sonoma.
A walk around Sonoma town, and a stop by Sonoma Springs Brewing Company.
The next day, a visit to our favorite winery, Reeve.
They have a pizza oven on site and always make the most delicious pizzas to go with our tastings!
And of course we really like saying hello to the goats too.
A visit to Alexander Valley Vineyards.
Over to downtown Healdsburg, where we visited BloodRoot, a new sister brand of Reeve.
And as the finale of this particular trip, we had dinner at the three-star Michelin restaurant SingleThread!
On to another trip in another month, a short visit to Yountville and the Restoration Hardware restaurant there.
And finally, the third trip of this post, back to Healdsburg to attend Reeve’s members pickup party! This time we brought Cassie and Michael with us to introduce them to the delights of Healdsburg.
They had both a flatbread and a pork belly on the menu for the party.
And of course, visiting the goats afterwards.
Over to downtown Healdsburg, an ice cream break at Noble Folk.
Admiring the elaborate frames and fans at the hand fan museum. And an oyster break at Willi’s Seafood and Raw Bar. Yes, we just snacked all day. The entire day.
Brand new tasting room, very aesthetically pleasing, Marine Layer.
And finally, we topped it off with dinner at Gott’s in Marin!
What a privilege and delight to enjoy wine country on the regular!
