Yue & Darren | The French Laundry Proposal Photography

Yes or Yes! This was such a sweet surprise proposal. Darren knew that Yue would suspect that a proposal was coming, because they had already gone ring shopping together. Plus, she knew they had a reservation for The French Laundry where they had dined once before. But he still had some surprises up his sleeve. He decided to propose in The French Laundry’s gardens across the street before they got to dinner, and he also wanted to incorporate Yue’s love of K-pop and specifically Twice’s song YES or YES. I helped to whip up some signs and set the scene, and this perfect little surprise ensued!

It’s always funny when clients arrive and I have to hide in plain sight by taking photos of something else. Here are a couple of my random snaps.
