Cynthia & Nathan’s Wedding | Julia Morgan Ballroom | San Francisco Wedding Photography

We began the day in a little oasis of calmness at the Omni Hotel of San Francisco. Cynthia was not nervous or anxious; she was ready. We entered the beautiful Merchant’s Exchange building across the street and took the elevators up to the Julia Morgan Ballroom on the 15th floor.

Up in the bridal suite, Cynthia’s bridesmaids buzzed around her, excitedly chattering in Mandarin and helping Cynthia to climb into her dress. And just as Cynthia stepped in to the Amsale gown and had everything clasped, tied, and zipped up, she transformed into a true princess for the day.

Cynthia brings out the softer side of Nathan. Even he, the Air Force manly man, loves to tell the story of his wedding ring and just how excited he was to get married to Cynthia. He literally could not wait to get that wedding ring on his finger. Even throughout his engagement, he would take the ring from its place in their safe and wear it on while doing mundane things like watching TV.

So on this day, they were both ready. And together they had a truly beautiful wedding in the majestic Julia Morgan Ballroom of San Francisco.

Such a beautiful bride with such a perfect hairstyle!

I love the moment before the kiss.

The beautiful flowers were done by the lovely Courtney of Courtney Marie Florals— we first worked together last year in a collaborative shoot. On the right, the glass and shawl to be used in the ceremony.

The flower girl triumphantly comes down the aisle while the ringbearer was a bit more reluctant.

The stunning bride is escorted down the aisle by her mother and mother in law.

The entire ceremony was a traditional Jewish ceremony under this beautiful chuppah. Thank you to my assistant Sammie Mui for capturing the beautiful overhead perspective over the ceremony.

Nathan’s brother Mitchell was unable to attend the ceremony since he was living in China, so he was patched in via facetime on iPad 2. On the right, the Ketubah, the wedding contract.

Nathan’s beloved wedding ring.

This incredible wedding cake was created by Gerhard Michler of Creative International Pastries. And of course, the architecturally stunning Julia Morgan Ballroom.

Cynthia has an elegance that’s simply made for this dress in this ballroom and this first dance.

Toward the end of the night, the men had an amusing surprise for everyone– military inspired sleeves that had been hiding under their jackets all along.

What’s about to happen? Of course the DJ must instigate this next dance…

A lively Hora chair dance makes this wedding complete.

Thank you Cynthia & Nathan for such a beautiful day! I hope you are having a fantastic honeymoon in Europe!
