Welcome to my latest personal project, a series of “mood shoots.” For these shoots, I wanted to explore a certain look and feel in my portraiture, working with light and shadow, styling, and directing. As with all my personal projects, I just sort of dream up these ideas and form a vision in my mind, and then it’s all about execution and letting them take on a life of their own.

Atop a hill at sunset, we created stunning portraits against the changing sky. Jessica had also participated in my Pointe of View ballerina series, and she has since been signed as a professional model, so we had the best time playing around with this shoot, even with the chilly winds and the rugged terrain on this hill.
