Buffalo, NY
It took eight hours, but I drove from Philadelphia to Buffalo in order to photograph Amber and Ben’s wedding at Ben’s childhood home. Justin joined me the second day, and we got to explore a bit of Buffalo, visit Cat and her family, and even stop by Niagara Falls before driving another seven hours to Boston to continue our giant triangle of a road trip. See below!
Amber and Ben held a small lunch reception at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. I, of course, took a little whirl around the museum after lunch.
The art gallery is also right next to the neighborhood of Elmwood Village, which contains plenty of adorable shops!
One of Ben’s family friends graciously hosted us in her home and even provided the best breakfast and tea in the morning! Thank you Cathy!
We kicked off Saturday morning with a visit to the Elmwood Village farmer’s market.
We headed down to visit Cat and Dan on their farm in Eden, and I got to request fresh corn from the field, picked that morning! Soooo delicious.
I last visited Cat and Dan in Buffalo five years prior, when I photographed their engagement session. A lot has changed since then, including these two adorable kids!
Alex and Justin became fast friends.
Loved seeing this framed photo from Cat and Dan’s engagement session!
On Sunday, a historic boat tour down the Erie.
Mini adventurers!
Amber & Justin, old friends from their Shanghai days!
Grain elevators left from Buffalo’s old big business of shipping grain across to NYC.
Next, we hopped the border over to Ontario to check out the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.
Behind the scenes!
I stole the rest of these shots from Justin.
Farewell, Buffalo. Perhaps I’ll be back in another five years!
