Silvia & James | Palo Alto Wedding Photography
It all started with a bit of silly bickering over what should have been a very easy fact for two Harvard grads to agree upon. For some bizarre reason, Silvia had herself convinced that she was 21 despite the fact that, as James mathematically proved on a napkin, she was really 22. Yes, she conceded in the end, she was being silly and had forgotten her own age. But it was that conversation that became the inconspicuous start of their relationship, which slowly grew into love.. and marriage.
Silvia and James were wed in the stunning First United Methodist Church of Palo Alto and had a delicious banquet celebration afterwards at Ming’s Chinese Restaurant. But first, they got ready at the Four Seasons in Palo Alto and we stopped by Stanford University with plenty of time for portraits.
I love the detailing on Silvia’s Amsale dress along with her perfectly paired shoes.
I love when jewelry is passed down from family members. This pearl necklace belongs to Silvia’s grandmother.
Stanford was a beautiful backdrop for Silvia & James’ “first look.”
The bridesmaids all wore beautiful coral dresses from J. Crew.
The bouquets were all DIY with soft peachy-pink roses.
First United Methodist Church was such a majestic setting for the ceremony. I loved the patches of stained glass everywhere. The balcony views were photographed by my assistant Christopher Mackessy.
Silvia and her father getting ready to come down the aisle
I love the look of sheer joy when the couple comes back down the aisle.
Silvia’s father had such touching words to say about her and James.
Last but not least, my favorite image from the day:
Congratulations Silvia & James!
