Best of 2011: Shooting Film
2011 was the year I really delved back in to film. Yes. Real, tangible, old-school film. It was one of the best things I’ve ever done for my photography. I rented the beautiful Contax 645, purchased my own Canon EOS3, and blogged all my adventures and experiments along the way, from comparing film vs. digital to comparing photo labs. My “Shooting Film” series was my most popular set of posts from 2011, with many articles like my review of VSCO Film, a film emulation software, garnering far more views than even my most popular weddings! So without further ado, here it is.
The Shooting Film Series:
1. And Now We Wait | 2. Color Me Pretty | 3. Film vs. Digital | 4. Oscar’s Photo Lab vs. Richard Photo Lab | 5. Matching Digital to Film | 6. VSCO FIlm Review
And now some of my favorite film images from 2011, in no particular order. Click any of the images to visit each of their corresponding posts.
