Every Monday, I feature an image and backstory from my Pointe of View series.

This week, a sneak peek from one of my two ballerina shoots with the beautiful cherry blossoms in Washington D.C. We started the day at 4am in order to catch sunrise at the Tidal Basin, and even at sunrise, the Tidal Basin was packed with photographers and tourists. But the light was amazing and the results simply breathtaking. It was the perfect way to cap off the entire series, as I am now finished with photographing the ballerina sessions and will soon be putting together for printing.
