Candela Fine Art Printing | Pointe of View

|

Every Monday, I feature an image and backstory from my Pointe of View series.

I am so excited to introduce you all to this gem of a printer right here in Oakland, California: Candela Fine Art Printing. I have worked with many different labs to transform my digital photographs into tangible prints, and I am so excited to be able to work with Candela one on one to see this process first-hand. I know my work is in great hands with Brad and his team.

Candela will be handling all of my fine art prints from the — backers at the Collector’s Edition level will be receiving these 11×14″ limited edition, hand signed and numbered prints. They are absolutely luxurious on thick Hahnemuhle pearl photo rag paper. These prints are also available in the Pointe of View store.

Candela is in a small studio in Oakland for the time being, but they’ll be moving and expanding soon! I visited Brad and he printed a proof for me to check on before we made sure everything was calibrated for the actual run.

The prints come out of the printer roll all rolled up, but Brad trimmed them to size and flattened them out on a press.

I then signed… carefully.. and numbered each print. The “Chicago Streets” print is all packaged up and on its way to its new home in Chicago!

For all my wonderful Kickstarter backers who are wondering, yes, the book and collector’s edition prints are in progress. Things are still be finalized, and I will ask for addresses and print selections before anything gets sent out. Keep an eye out! Exciting things are in the works!
